PSA (Public Service Announcement)
Target audience:-
the target audience is children from infants to the age of thirteen. This target audience is more susceptible to
be eating corn because of the young age.
From when the child is an infant they would be eating baby food which
could include corn specifically genetically modified corn. As the child grows
the need for corn and vegetables increases, therefore they have a higher chance
to be eating corn than an adult, teenager or senior would. Children are more
likely to eat cereal in the morning for breakfast and inmost cereals there is
corn in the ingredients. Not only does this make eating genetically modified
corn a higher risk but it also increases the chance than Monsanto’s corn was
used in the making of the cereal.
Significance of issue
to the public: -The proposed issue is the big company that produces
genetically modified food has now created genetically modified corn. There have
been several tests on animals giving proof that the genetically modified corn
has given in this case tumors to rats eating this corn. Over a period of a year
female and male rats have been feed corn and genetically modified corn. The
subjects fed genetically modified had a considerably higher health risks than
that of the group eating non-genetically modified corn. This is important to
the public because eating genetically modified corn has shown high health risks
in rats concluding in tumors. Whether
they would have the same health risks in humans is undefined. In the United
States of America there is approximately 85% of genetically modified corn. This means that the genetically modified corn
could cause serious health risks to the children of America. And in Canada
genetically modified corn is one of four engineered foods made in Canada.
Message:- The purpose message is to stop making and eating
genetically modified corns. I want
people to understand how bad and dangerous to eat genetically modifies
foods. Heath problems, cancer, etc type
of things happen just because eating genetically modified corns. They’re not
good for our health. And this is what I
want to deliver public that Stop buying, growing and eating genetically
modified corns. Don’t just look at the
price tag of product watch how healthy thing is. If you eat healthy, you will
save money anyhow.
Action Step:- Protesting, explaining and exposing about genetically modified food is the
biggest action. I want person to ask their local farmers that corn they’re
selling is genetically modified? I want person not to buy genetically modified
corns and stop others who are eating GM corns and explain them it is not good
for their health. I want that community protest about to stop selling and making genetically modified corns. So, people don’t have any bad influence. Taking
this action plan realizes farmers that genetically modified corns are now not
going to make profit. So, they’ll stop growing GM corns. If we protest government to ban GM corns they
might do.
